The other morning, I was out for a walk in the park with my little man and pooch in tow. When I saw this gorgeous gal out for a walk with her sweet dog, Winnie. The light was just beautiful and making her red hair just glow in the early morning sun. It isn’t often that one can get out in January in this part of the world for an outdoor photo shoot and not freeze… but this winter has been so mild… As this year she will be graduating … I thought to myself, we need to capture this beauty and her lovely Samoyed out in the Saskatchewan prairie. I have been contemplating beginning to offer “senior’s photography” as they term it in the US. Not just “grad photos” in prom dresses, but the attempt to capture this period in a young person’s life. Photos that are memories of what one was like and what their passions are… as they are about to make the leap into adulthood. Photos that capture what is important you… not just the fancy ball gown and tux. Memories of the peak of youth. Pictures that speak a thousand words… And I also want grads to see how beautiful God has made them to be… on the outside and the inside. We are all a work in progress…. I know God isn’t finished with me yet.
What I love most about these images, is the gentle, pure beauty that she exhibits… like a breath of fresh air. Anyway…. here is my attempt to capture inner beauty reflected on the outside.
